A once in a lifetime dream tour!

We enjoyed our visit to St. Petersburg and the excellent guidance provided on this private tour. It is always a challenge to make the most of your port of call time when you only have a day or two to see the sights. Compared to group tours , we not only saw so many more sights, but we learned so much about the history and the culture - and where to find "necessities" (e.g., clean/free restrooms, parking). We spent less time traveling and standing in line, and were able to sample the food and drink in lovely cafes and restaurants frequented by local residents, instead of the touristy places. We felt at home. Although our visit was brief, the memories will last us a very long time. As we left the port on our last evening, we opened our bottle of Hvas and toasted our wonderful guide, the beautiful city of St. Petersburg and the country of Russia. We wholeheartedly recommend this touring option - it was a once in a lifetime adventure.

In Summary a Five Star Experience

What a wonderful city and wonderful tour guide - Alexei was something beyond our expectations - a charming, erudite and very friendly man. Felt quite sad when we had to leave him and his city. If you are looking for someone who really knows St. Petersburg then I cannot recommend him and his company highly enough. Not many guides would, quite literally take you to the ballet and then present you with a bouquet of flowers and a bottle of "bubbles" to celebrate an anniversary. Our two day tour beat the pants off those offered by our cruise ship and we had the pleasure of travelling in a car not a 50 seater bus - not to mention the cost!

    Wonderful experience!

I was traveling with my mom, and we wanted to see all that St. Petersburg offered and then some, in just 3 days....A friend recommended Sergey, they have been to St. Pete at least 4 times before, and said he truly was wonderful. We sent an email, and he responded very quickly with a great itenrary, and his prices were very affordable, even less than those cattle car (30+) group tours, and it was just for the two of us. So Sergey was able to make a private tour of St. Petersburg a reality for us, and we were able to see and do so much more than others that took a group tour. We were able to spend as much time as possible in the hermitage (at least 4 hours) and Sergey was trained at the Hermitage, so we were able to keep him as our guide (not have to tour with a Hermitage guide, running us through each rooom, we really saw soo much more than other groups) he was able to explain each painting, and we were able to see which areas of the Hermitage we wanted, not just the popular rooms. Sergey has a lot of knowledge and pride when it comes to his city and history, he is passionate about St. Petersburg and very hospitable, so you really feel like you have seen the real St. Petersburg with Sergey, not the everyday/touristy sites with a guide not at all interested in their country or care about the visitors experience. We felt so fortunate to find Sergey, and if we ever can go back, we can not wait to see him again and have him show us around.

A great Easter in St. Petersburg

We really enjoyed a couple of days during Easter in St. Petersburg. Sergey arranged everything for my family, a two-day private tour with a local driver and spanish speaking guide, Ksenja, she was very servicial and extremely nice. And without a doubt, she was an excellent guide and very professional. She explained to us all of the history as we went along making the tour highly interesting. Besides this, she spoke perfect Spanish making it possible for all of us to understand and enjoy the tour. In addition to our marvellous Spanish guide and driver, he booked tickets for us to go to a ballet show in the Hermitage Theatre, a lovely place to explore The Russian culture and folklore more in depth. All in all, I highly recommend SeeYouInSt.Petersburg for whoever would like to enjoy and get to know this wonderful city. :)

    Fantastic tour!

I heard from a friend that he used a tour guide in St. Petersburg while on a cruise. He gave me the email address of Sergey so I emailed him and asked for a quote. Sergey responded within 24 hours with pricing and suggested itinerary for two days of sightseeing. There were six of us. He responded to all my questions within 24 hours. When we arrived in St. Petersburg, Sergey was there to greet us in the cruise ship terminal. He had a nice Mercedes bus with driver. One could stand up and walk in this bus. Not like a van that you have to crawl over people to get to your seat. Sergey provided us with fantastic guidance and got us to all the attractions without any problems. He was very knowledgeable about all the sites especially the art works in the Hermitage Museum. I would recommend Sergey as your tour guide in St. Petersburg.

    Oustanding tour service!

We had an excellent 2 day tour of St. Petersburg. Valeria and her team are the best, and it was very easy to book this tour and complete the necessary transactions. We were very impressed with Nadia, our tour guide. She is very knowledgeable about SP's history, and such enthusiasm. You can tell right away she really loves her job. The restaurants Nadia chose for lunch were also very good. A shout out to our driver, unfortunately I don't remember his name did an excellent job of navigating us through the city. I would recommend "See You in St. Petersburg" to anyone looking for a quality tour of SP.

This 2 day tour was one of the best ever!

We worked with Valarie and planned out exactly what we wanted to see in St. Petersburg over the 2 days our ship was docked there. . Our guide had studied with the Hermitage for a month as part of her training. She was a wealth of information to get the most we could out of our 3 hours there. Unbelievable!!! She made sure we got to see everything she could squeeze into those 2 days. What a beautiful city!

The best guide, the best of the city!

We came with my old parents and we're looking for the best of the city without the stress... The team adapted remarkably well, and supported my parents when stairs were too many, too high... In other words: we felt with friends !!! But friends who know and live the city better than anyone! Stories in the History, History and culture, landscapes and details... Everything was in those days we had with the team ! Do not hesitate, take the maximum days you can, you won't regret it.and don't worry, you will still have time for you... This is not one "picture and go" tour, this is one Saint Petersburg tour !!!!!!

    Third time is the charm

We've taken advantage of Sergey's knowledge and experience on three different visits to St. Petersburg. His itineraries are well planned, thoughtful and interesting. The ability to navigate the lines at tourist attractions an additional bonus. He has been invaluable in supplying visa required invitation letter. We have recommended his to others an all report great experiences.

    Wow, what a great visit!

On a recent cruise with an overnight stay in St. Petersburg, we made arrangements to tour the city's attractions with SeeYouInStpetersburg for the full two days and though it was exhausting, we covered so much and had an incredible visit. We had been to St. Petersburg before, but this visit was wonderful and informative with many new sights along with the established "must do's". Thank you, we will always recommend you to anyone visiting your great city!

    Made St. Petersburg come alive!

Sergey is a wonderful guide and when he couldn't be with us he arranged for some wonderful guides to show us around. His stories from childhood and insight into the Russian culture were so interesting. My college daughter has a great interest in the ballet and Sergey helped us get tickets and a guide one day who knew a lot about the famous Marinsky theater! We had such a good time in St. Pete and we were able to see so much more with the guides than we would ever have seen on our own. I can not emphasize enough how pleasant, reliable, informative and entertaining their services were for our once in a lifetime trip. He can arrange for pick up at the train station, arrange for theater tickets or a folklore dance show, arrange for drivers and transport to the airport! Worth every penny!

    Excellent service, knowledgeable guide

We took two day tours with SeeYouInStPetersburg, one to Peterhof and one to Catherine Palace and Pavlovsk. Valeria, our contact and guide, is extremely knowledgeable about the history, architecture and art work of the sites. Not only were the tours efficiently arranged and excellently conducted, Valeria was happy to provide additional information, such as recommending restaurants and a tour of the best subway stations. She responded immediately to my first email of inquiry and followed through on every question. She clearly loves her city and is enthusiastic about sharing it.

    Amazing tour of St Petersburg

We have just returned from a trip to St Petersburg which was made stress free with the help of the wonderful Valeria. From the moment I first contacted her I was confident I had chosen the right person to guide us around the city. Emails were answered promptly and suggestions welcomed (such as booking a taxi to and from the Mariinsky Theatre on the night we arrived and also a table for pre theatre dining)! She clearly loves (and is proud) of her city and very, very knowledgeable. I contacted several Tour Companies before hand but felt this company understood what I wanted and offered a very personal touch. If you are going to St Petersburg, this company is a must. You will not be disappointed.

    Great tour

This tour was awesome! Sergey, our guide spoke great English and was very flexible in making up a tour that met some very strange requirements. (We had groups of different sizes on the 2 days of touring. We came from the Australian summer to the Russian winter.)

Each day he had a good suggestion on a reasonable priced lunch, and was very knowledgeable in the history and stories of the sites we saw.

A great introduction to St. Petersburg

I enjoyed learning about the history and culture of the city. We managed to visit some areas of St. Petersburg which I would not be able to find on my own without a guide. Both the city and the tour company are great!

We toured St. Petersburg for 2 days. The guide was amazing, the tour incredible and do not have any negative comments re tour. I was the only person going to ballet the first night, so arranged for me to stay in town with a guide and had private car pick up from the ballet. We highly reccommend this tour company for people travelling to Russia. No hiccups just a wonderful packed 2 days of sightseeing in a beautiful city.

We found Sergey on this website, and we were so happy to have discovered his fantastic tours, before booking with someone else. Sergey was professional, completely bilingual and provided us with an extraordinary experience while in St Petersburg. He has an amazing knowledge of history and art and seeing things with him were a wonderful experience. Sergey was extremely flexible and his prices, are competitive. We will certainly use Sergey again when we return to St Petersburg...

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need visa to visit St. Petersburg?

If you arrive by a cruise ship, you do not need a visa. Instead, you need a tour ticket, which is a touristic voucher confirming the tour you booked with us; it needs to be presented at the passport control area. We will provide you with this document. If you arrive by plane, we will provide you with visa support and a tourist invitation letter.

Is it true that I can leave the cruise ship only when I book the city tour from the cruise company?

What about tipping the guide and driver?

The tip is not included in the fare. We recommend 10% for your guide and 5% for your driver.

What is your cancellation policy?

We understand that your plans might change. We guarantee 100% refund of your tour payment in case of cancellation. The tour ticket, theatre, and prepaid museum tickets are non-refundable.

I saw the list of the tours you offer. I would like to change my St. Petersburg tour program. Is it possible?
